Seattle hotel advice needed

Hi,

I'm going to Seattle in a few weeks and did hotel search on expedia. I wanted to save money and found some of the inexpensive hotels listed below. Has anyone stayed at any of these hotels? Any information would be appreciated.

SeaTac Crest Inn and Suites
Sutton Suites & Extended Stay
Sleep Inn - SeaTac Airport
SeaTac Inn
WestCoast GateWay Hotel
Comfort Inn & Suites
Best Value Seattle Inn & Suites
Travelodge - SeaTac Airport

I also found a couple of hotels near Bothel. Is it better to stay in Bothel than in SeaTac?

SpringHill Suites by Mariott Bothel
Sierra Suites Bothel

I really wouldn't stay near Sea-Tac if I was visiting Seattle. Its kind of ugly, the airport strip where some of those hotels are located is particularly unattractive, and (IMO) there are too many 'undesireables' hanging around. I live right next to Bothell and have put visitors up in the Springhill Suites, which is a very nice place. Still, you are at least a half-hour from downtown Seattle, and it could be as much as an hour when the traffic is bad. If you don't want to stay in the city, check out areas just to the north, like Shoreline, Lake City, or North Seattle.

Why stay at one of those dumps when you can get a 4* hotel for $40 in Seattle on Priceline? Look at biddingfortravel.com for assistance with Priceline.

I had a great hotel (Vintage Park) at about $55 last August from Priceline. Check out biddingfortravel.

You might want to try the Executive Pacific Plaza Hotel which is extremely centrally located and within walking distance (or free downtown bus) of practically everything. I don't know whether you want to go for the $89. for 2 which is what it costs.
If you are really on a budget you can try the YM or YWCAS.
Good luck!

Staying at Elliot Grand Hyatt downtown Seattle in August. Paid 40.00 on priceline. Check it out!! PJ

Yuki,

SeaTac or Bothel - you've got a hike to Seattle either way. Major hike. You'll have to rent a car - which will increase the cost of your daily expense - which makes the less expensive hotel more expensive because of its stupid location.

Check out priceline for christ sakes.

Yuki, I agree with the above posts. You really don't want to be in either place to enjoy Seattle and it's downtown area.
