Seattle-Downtown Hotels
 

Heading to Seattle for one night 4/24. Any suggestions on hotels downtown? Looking at the Westin or Sheraton? Any advice? Any idea what hotel Hotwire is offering for $94 that has pool, bar and fitness center?

Don't know about the Hotwire hotel. Is this the one that comes up $92 as a 4.5 star?<BR><BR>You might try bidding on Priceline at about $20-$30 less for a 4-star. And you can do a bunch of free rebids Priceline and work your way up about $5 at a time, up to about $10 less than the Hotwire hotel. I'd probably not bid higher than about $82 for Priceline before taking the Hotwire one. I got the Westin downtown via Priceline for $55/night last March, but I doubt you'd get it for less than $60/night today, probably higher.<BR><BR>Remember parking is probably $20/night for a 4-star hotel in downtown Seattle.<BR><BR>Generally Hotwire rates the same kinds of hotels about 1/2 star less than Priceline, so a 4-star Priceline is likely to be a 4.5 star Hotwire.<BR><BR>Andrew<BR>

We stayed at the Westin downtown for about $65/night from a deal we found on Priceline. You may be able to get a similar rate, so keep checking to see if you can beat the $94. The hotel was VERY nice.

Downtown or close to it is where everything seems to be in seattle and walking is in the picture for me. Is the Westin the only hotel on priceline at that amount or is it a crapshoot?

The new Hyatt downtown is by far the best deal for the quality. It is 2 full stars better than the Westin, and if you look around and are aggressive you can get rates below $100 at times.

I recently stayed at the Vintage park for $60 per night on a PL bid. Great hotel with wonderful, friendly service. I have also stayed at the Elliot Grand Hyatt and would gladly stay there again if I could get a good rate. Count on $25 per 24 hours for parking. You might find parking for $20 per 24 hours a block or two from the hotel but without the in and out privileges. We just bit the bullet and used the hotel parking.
