Seattle B&B or cottage??
I've seen some B&Bs on the 'net, but am looking for personal opinions.... would like to be within walking distance of shops or something - and would like to know if any of them have easy local transportation so I can avoid the hassel of renting a car. Thanks in advance!!

YOU WILL HAVE NO PROBLEM GETTING AROUND IN SEATTLE. BUSES EVERYWHERE. ALSO SEATTLE IS NOT LARGE AS COMPARED TO OTHER MAJOR CITIES, SO EVERYTHING IS CLOSE. MAKE SURE YOU VISIT THE AVE. IN THE UNIVERSITY DISTRICT. ALSO THE FREMONT AND PIKE PLACE MARKETS. PIKE ST MARKET WILL BE CROWDED ON THE WKNDS NO MATTER WHAT MONTH IT IS SO GO ON A WKDAY. WEST END IS NICE FOR BAND B BUT FAR FROM SEATTLE PROPER. SUGGEST NORTH END NO FURTHER OUT THAN GREENLAKE, (ZOO AREA) OR SOMEWHERE IN UNIVERSITY DIST. IF THERE ARE ANY ON QUEEN ANNE HILL IT WOULD BE GOOD, OR EAST HILL. SORRY I HAVE NO SPECIFIC SUGGESTIONS, BUT THERE ARE MANY BB BOOKS AT LIBRARY OR BOOK STORE THAT WILL GIVE YOU INFO ON LOCATIONS AND PRICES. HAVE FUN!

There is a Seattle Bead and Breakfast Association on the web. It's great, with a map for you to choose the district you're interested in. The Williams House, a B&B in the Queen Anne District has an e-mail address. Hope it helps.
