Seattle as a honeymoon destination?

I have always liked the idea of living in Seattle and think that visiting there for a honeymoon would be a good way to check it out.

Any recommendations on where to stay/what to see in order to have a good gauge on the life there?

Sounds more like work than a honeymoon! Might you reconsider and spend the time at a more romantic NW destination.. the west coast of Vancouver Island? When will you be traveling?

Seattle would be a wonderful place to visit, but like the above post, you may want to tack on something a little more romantic, if that suits you.
The little town of Port Townsend or the San Juan islands would be nice for a day or two.

I would be there from the 16th through the 20th, or any days around that time.
Any hotel suggestions?

Well January 16-20 is pretty quiet most years. So probably not much in it as far as hotel savings are concerned.

Oh, not January? October?

We honeymooned in Seattle and area and loved it! We stayed at the Edgewater Hotel - great place with interesting history. Stay on water side. We also spent several days on Whidbey Island and that was fabulous and romantic. During another trip to Seattle we also went to the Canadian Gulf Island of Pender - loved it! Also went to Vancouver. It is a great city, but very busy!

One suggestion would be Inn at Langley. Lovely place, with a great dining room. You could also take a day and go over to Pt.Townsend - it's a cute stop.

Great Idea! Check out the Inn at the Market- I am sure they have a web site-- we spent an anniversary there-- charming, great staff and in walking distance to the market

Tusconartist, we also enjoyed the Edgewater very much. We had the panoramic water view with breakfast included each am at the Six Seven. Very nice property and the water views are spectacualar, aren't they!!! ***kim***
