Seattle area: Fun, family dining for bday dinner
I'd love to hear ideas of places to go for my birthday dinner in the Seattle area (preferably the eastside).
I'm looking for someplace fun and child-friendly (elementary age). We haven't lived here too long, so maybe some of you have a better idea of what's available. Any ideas? Thanks for your suggestions! |
You might have better luck posting here-also, I'd give details about your preferred price range and cuisine:

The Cheesecake Factory comes to mind at Bellevue Square. Torrero's in Factoria is a good family friendly place for mexican food.
|
My kids really like Buca de Bepo - huge family-style portions, and a big, loud, friendly atmosphere.
|
P.F. Chang's is fun for kids too. If you have a group, Cheesecake Factory, P.F. Chang's, etc. will sometimes accept a reservation. It wouldn't be fun for children to go to a busy place and have to wait around for a table.
How about pizza? |
Thanks for the ideas. I have never heard of Torrero's and we all love Mexican food, so we'll have to check that out sometime.
Still thinking about where to go, though, so more suggestions would be great! |
How about Red Robin? It can be loud, but it's very child friendly and the menu has something for everyone.
|
Yes, Red Robin is very fun for kids. We just gave my daughter a surprise birthday dinner there for her 16th BD. (Not in Seattle, tho.) We had a great time! Have fun! ***kim*** ((#))

You might want to cruise the restaurant reviews at the Seattle Times, PI or Weekly...I don't know how "into" food you are, but it kills me that an adult might have to spend their birthday dinner at the Cheesecake Factory or Red Robin. Your children aren't infants-surely you can go somewhere a bit nicer than these? What about Yarrow Bay Beach Cafe?
