Seattle and Vancouver

Hey everyone! Me and my wife are planning to visit Seattle and Vancouver from April 27th to May 3rd. We would like to visit Seattle from Friday afternoon and till Monday (we would have a car to drive to and from Vancouver) and visit Vancouver from Monday till Wednesday evevening.
Any suggestion what to do and what to see?
Thank you, Alex

I'm curious why you are going to Seattle and Vancouver if you don't know what you want to do and see in those places.

Be prepared of delays at the border.

What kind of delays, HTTY? Time-wise, is it worse one day of the week (i.e. Friday) than others?

Curious as we have been tossing the idea of this kind of trip around as a family.

Thanks.

Border crossings are much easier at Lynden or Sumas (rather than Blaine/Peace Arch). We went over on a weekday a couple of weeks ago; took us 10 minutes to get into Canada and about 2 minutes getting back. It does seem to help if you show passports.

We drove to Vancouver March 16 and returned on March 18.

We breezed through the border going into Canada, but the line was very slow moving on the return; it took over an hour to get through US Customs at Blaine.

According to Vancouver radio (AM 1130, I believe) the lines were equally slow at Sumas at the time we going home on Sunday, March 18.

My list of favorites for a few days in Seattle include:
Pioneer Square Historic District
Pike Place Market
Chinatown/International District
Seattle Center/Space Needle
a ferry ride
the Arboretum/Japanese Gardens
Lake Washington
Lake Union
