Seattle & Olympic Nat'l Park in June
Can anyone tell me if June is an ok time as far as weather to visit the Seattle area and also Olympic National Park? Is this an especially "wet" time of the summer? Or is August the better month weather-wise? I guess it is really anybody's guess, but would like some feedback. Thanks!

With respect to the above poster, June is an iffy month. We have gorgeous days scattered throughout June but not a string of them. Everyone here knows that summer starts after 4th of July. Typically the last week of July is our driest time. We have had some cold days in August as well. When in Seattle never really rely on good weather. It is pretty even in rain.

There's a "wet" side and a "dry" side to ONP. June should be fine for both, but there may be some cloudy/drippy days on the west ("wet") side, which is okay, because that's when it's at its most atmospheric best. August will tend to be warmer and drier, possibly even hot in Seattle, but also more crowded, expensive, and untypical. The snow will be gone from the mountains, making them less beautiful, and the mountain roads will be getting dusty. Come in June.

I was in Seattle in mid July. The weather was wonderful. Also went to Olympic National Park. Really great place but I found it cold even though the sky was bright, so take a jumper and perhaps a woolly hat. You will have a great time whatever month you go.
