seattle airport to ferries
Hi everyone,
I'm thinking of flying into Seattle and taking the ferry to Victoria, BC instead of flying directly to Victoria from New York. Does anyone know if there is public transportation between the Seattle airport and the ferry docks, or if the only way is by cab? If the latter, how much would a cab ride be? Thanks! |
You might want to use the Gray Line bus:
http://graylineseattle.com/airportexpress1.cfm Page down - they have a connector service to the Ferry Terminal (Pier 52) for an extra $2.50. |
JMO but the ferry from Seattle to Victoria is a long ride and takes a long time. I flew from SEA to Victoria on Horizon Air in 30 minutes or so. There are so many ferry routes I'm not sure but I just feel like you would be better off flying unless you have lots of time and want to sight see............

I agree with Ike. Why do you want to take the ferry?

If you're flying into Seattle on anything but a redeye you'll almost certainly need to overnight until the next Victoria Clipper sailing the following day.
$30 give or take. |
I actually think it's a fabulous idea. The Victoria Clipper doesn't take THAT long (2.5 hours?), and the scenery is simply beautiful.
Here is a link about transportation from the SeaTac airport to the Clipper terminal: http://www.clippervacations.com/tran...ion_to_pier_69 |
The times I've taken the Clipper you couldn't really see any scenery, the windows were so grubby and salt-spray covered. But there isn't much of anywhere to stand outside, either, except that teeny, super windblown and extrememly loud area by the engines.
