Let us know where you end up frogdahl and how you liked it! It's a beautiful day in Seaside today, hope the weather holds out for you! ***kim*** ((*))

frogdahl, we just returned from an excellent meal at Bistro in Cannon Beach. I don't know if you're in Seaside yet, but we were just in a tsunami evacuation. Horrifying, we were scared to death. Sirens, the entire town was getting out of town, after about 20 minutes of panic, it was cancelled. Thank goodness! Did you get caught in the evacuation, also? ***kim*** ((*))

Thanks all for your advice. We managed a number of restaurants to try in Seaside. And must say never had a bad meal. Guess we just got lucky. Anniversary was at Girdles. We laughed at the name, as it turns out it is the family name and is right on the town. Excellent anniversary dinner. Next day did do Normas, and that was what we were thinking of. It was also excellent. Kids took us on Sunday for Fathers Day to Duggars. And husband thinks that is the best seafood he has ever had. Excellent meal again. Two breakfasts at Pig N Pancake. Mediocre. Not bad but not great. Thanks again all. We had a great weekend.

Glad you had a good time. A nice alternative to Pig N Pancake is McKeown's, located in the Historic Gilbert District in Seaside. My daughter took her dad there for Father's Day. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner and have a nice basket of complimentary scones and pasteries. I love their crab cakes benedict there. ***kim*** ((#))

Too late for your trip but the Pacific Way Cafe in Gearheart is wonderful. Great food and service.

What did you have cinzin? We'll be back in the area again next week. Hoping to try some new places we missed last trip. Nahalem River Inn, Lil Bayou in Seaside and Tiki Cafe and The Ark up north on the WA coast. Can't wait to get out of this 110 degree heat! ***kim*** ((*))
