Seafood restaurants in LA area
Can anyone recommend a good seafood restaurant in the LA/Santa Monica area? Heading out to see family (all adults)next weekend - would like to take them out for good seafood - but not exorbitantly priced...suggestions please?

We like Delmonicos on Pico by Beverly Drive. Did not like the Lobster House by the S.M. pier.

I am glad you said that...someone recently suggeted The Lobster to us....any other suggestions??

Paula: You can't go wrong with The Fish Company in Santa Monica. It if reasonably priced and they have an excellent selection of fresh fish. My husband and I have had many excellent meals there.

Head out a little further south to Malibu and dine at Neptune's Net. Great location, very casual, very good.

Check the chowhound.com boards. They're organized geographically, and have loads of info for and by foodies.

The Reel Inn in Malibu -- great food and low prices. It's right on PCH. Monsoon on the 3rd St Promenade also has great seafood - a little
pricey but they do have Sushi hour from 4 to 7.

Even though someone said to not go to the Lobster I think you ABSOLUTELY should go!!! It is a wonderful restaurant with a stunning view. It is more pricey than the Reel Inn, but it is a dining experience. The atmosphere is lovely and the food is excellent!!! Have a great trip!!!
