Hi Jane-
This site can be a little finicky sometimes thats for sure!
It's been a while since I've been up to Portland, but can tell you that south of the city along Route 1 (Kennebunk/Ogunquit) there are plenty of seafood places! You really can't go wrong in Maine. Hopefully someone else can recommend some specific places. Have a great time!!

To all seafood lovers,
My favorite resturant is the Sea Basket, on Rt. 1, in Wiscassett. The only thing it doesn't have is whole lobsters, but the rest of the menu makes up for it. Their lobster stew with big chunks of lobster meat, is to die for.
Another fun, out of the way place to go to is Larsen's, in Damariscotta. The town is fun to go to also. Lots of cute shops. If your not familiar with the area, ask someone how to get there. They have the best lobster roll, for the money.
My husband and I are heading north, for our yearly feed, Can't wait.
Enjoy!
Nancy

We vacation south of
portland, and don't like cities, but the New York Times Sunday travel section had a large article on Portland and seafood restuarants this past Sunday (the 30th)
Nancy
