sea mist in myrtle beach
I'm planning on taking the family in August to MB and wondering how the Sea Mist resort is?
|
kelli,

I haven't stayed at the Sea Mist, so I can only tell you a little about its location.

It's at about 11th Avenue South, about 20 blocks south of the heart of MB (the Pavillion). What part of August is your visit? Things will quiet down a little by the last week in August.

You would be centrally located, with most attractions fairly close. Traffic will probably be pretty heavy. If you haven't already, you may want to search this site using Myrtle Beach as your search term--lots of info posted over the past few months.

Have a great time!

We stayed there years ago and it was a real dump.

Unless they've done a serious renovation I wouldn't stay there. The rooms were threadbare and nasty.

Hi, We stayed at the Sand Castle South and it was very nice. We were a couple hotels down from the Crowne Reef -- wow, that place looked awesome!

I'm surprised not to see some more positive reviews of the sea mist. I work with some folks that have been there and say that it's great. Someone who was there last summer said that it was a great place. I'm heading there in a couple of weeks. If I remember, I'll post a reply when I get back.
If Sea Mist dosen't work for you, try the Forest Dunes. It is really beautiful, and on a great stretch of beach in a fairly quiet area, yet the big attractions are only a few minutes away. website:www.forestdunes.com

I am a cheerleading coach and stayed there with my squad when they competed in March at a National Competition. The place was a mess, dirty, rugs torn etc. The pool area was horrible. I guess we got the best end of the deal because we heard that the Holiday Inn was much worse than the Sea Mist. If we don't get a better place to stay next year we are bagging this competition

What building did you stay in?
