Sea Captains house
just a note, My husband and I went to Sea Captain's house last year and would not recommend this place to any one. Pricey, average food(and not much at that). The only thing we liked were the hushpuppies. Wished we had gotten up and left when we saw the menu prices. Also had a long wait. Not worth it.

First and only post. No idea where SCH is, nor very much care.

Last year..first post..and why are you posting now? Just curious. And I too have no idea where the Sea Captain's house is, lol.

Could this possibly be a response meant for the following thread?

cruzgirl,
do you mean the Sea Captain's House in Myrtle Beach? You may have discovered the trick is . . . don't go for dinner. Go for the lunch specials (listed in the local newspaper, The Sun News, every day). The lunch specials are almost always great--inventive and under $10, with an unobstructed view of the ocean from the enclosed patio. Hard to beat in the heart of MB. |
Really? I'm here right now. I may check it out for lunch!

Get the She-Crab Soup starrsville. It is divine!
Yes, get the special of the day. If they have strawberry shortcake on the desert menu, order this. It reminds me of my grandmothers because it is true strawberry shortcake not strawberries on angelfood cake or other such nonsense. |
Good morning starrsville! Have a great lunch.

Thanks GoT. It was yummy. Had the crab/shrimp/avocado salad with the she crab soup. Very yummy!
Now I'm going to try to find the post with other recommendations - specifically Murrell's Inlet. Thanks to cruzgirl, in a round about way. Thanks, LoveItaly! I felt your presence there at lunch! You know how beautiful the SC coast is :-) |
