SE Florida activities with kids
 
Taking my 11-year-old niece to visit her grandma in Fort Lauderdale area -- any ideas for activites, day trips, etc. she would enjoy? Thanks.

Airboat tour of the Everglades is a great daytrip.

Butterfly World in Pompano. Dave & Busters (for indoor activity if needed) in Hollywood area.

Lion Country Safari-West Palm Beach-about 1 hour North.

Great for all ages.

Your neice should enjoy the Jungle Queen-its a tour down the canals of Ft.L. and it goes to an Indian Village where you can get off and watch an alligator show and shop for crafts.It leaves 2ce a day from Bahia Mar and lasts 3 hrs. They also have a tour that goes 2ce a week to Bayside marketplace in Miami. Do not take their dinner cruise-it is mostly older people and I don't think she would enjoy it.
