SD Favorite Beach

What's the best beach to visit in San Diego?

depends what you are looking for. do you have kids? do you want restaurants within walking distance? more adult oriented? do you want other activities available i.e. renting bikes, boggie boards, roller blades?
mission/pacific beach for families
black's beach for adults mostly, very secluded and beautiful to walk along
coronado beach for families and people who may want to watch flights come into the base
ocean beach mostly young and single and people who like to surf

family fun beach....swimming, tidepools, eateries would be nice, but not necessary. thanks.

La Jolla Shores, Torrey Pines State Beach (have to drive to anywhere to eat), Del Mar Beach.

I thought "South Dakota" when I saw SD on the subject line. I didn't know about the beaches. :-)

We rented a condo right next door to the Del on Coronado Island. I thought it was the nicest beach in San Diego.

I like the South Dakota response...did not even think of that...perhaps I should think outside the (California)box. Any good coral reefs in South Dakota?

Actually, some of the best beaches in South Dakota are at Lake Thompson.
