Scottsdale Sunday Buffet Brunch
 

We will be visiting several friends in Scottsdale and would like to take them all out to a casual Sunday buffet brunch. I've made some preliminary calls to area hotels, but would appreciate some advice from anyone with first hand experience. I'm initially looking for something in the $20 per person range before tax & tip, but I'm open to other suggestions if something is really worth it. Thanks.

I went to Gardunos at Gainey Ranch in Scottsdale for a Sunday brunch on a recent visit and really enjoyed it. Sunday - $15.95 for adults (champagne brunch $16.95

please note, Garduno's is a mexican restaurant. While I live here, I might suggest going down the street to the Hyatt Gainey Ranch (would be high end) and find our about theirs, amazing setting!!! (maybe check their website?) are you looking for high end or charming? I am always in search of sunday brunch (a self diagnosed foodie) and there isn't alot I've found yet. Though I just went to an "afternoon tea/brunch" at a lovely quaint indoor/outdoor restaurant called Arcadia Farms located in Old Town Scottsdale.

Here's a second to the idea on Gardunos Margarita Factory. Judy requested a casual buffet under $20 and this definitely fits the bill. Delightful green hatch sauce and a huge menu of margarita choices. I've eaten at the Scottsdale location on a few occasions, as well as the Las Vegas spot in the Palms.

Thank you so much for the replies. I was beginning to think no one in Scottsdale ate brunch! One question though since I'm a little confused. When you say Garduno's in Gainey Ranch, do you mean the Hyatt Gainey Ranch? Because when I go to the Hyatt's website, there is no such place. However they do mention the Squash Blossom having a Sunday brunch for $22. Also, someone told me about the brunch at En Fuego at the Doubletree Paradise Valley for around $27. Anyone know about these places? Thanks again.

Gainey Ranch is an area in Scottsdale, located off Doubletree Ranch Road. (various Scottsdale areas used to be private ranch properties that were sold and now commercial development, like Scottsdale Ranch, McCormick Ranch, etc)My husband works down the street from there. Gardunios Mexican Restaurant is in an upscale strip mall. Make sure your folks don't mind mexican for brunch , maybe? Hyatt is a gorgeous hotel (my personal valley favorite) in Gainey Ranch, and do everything exceptionally. (not had brunch there, but a safe bet)

I don't know of many Sunday Buffets in the price range you mentioned, except for ~Gardunos~ Mexican food or ~The Other Place~ on Lincoln Drive, although this is an older establishment. Most of Scottsdale's hotels have higher priced buffets, but find they are mostly all wonderful. My favorite is at the Phoenician, very high priced.

Yes, Francie, I'm finding that many of the hotel's buffet's are definitely on the higher end. That's why I was hoping to get some recommendations.

If it was just the two of us, it wouldn't be a problem. But since we're going to be treating 8-10 guests, the numbers start to really get up there. Not really looking to spend $750-$1000 with tax, tip, & extras! Thanks again for the advice thus far. So, the hunt continues . . .

I thought the Camelback Inn's Sunday Brunch was a little overpriced at $47.50 each (it would have cost $30 Max here in Orlando), but the food was certainly devine.

Two restaurants you might want to consider are T. Cook's at the Royal Palms Resort and Lon's at the Hermosa Inn. Both places are order off the menu for breakfast - not the usual buffet. Although T. Cook's has a small buffet.
But both have good food and a very nice
atmosphere. Sunday buffet brunch at any of the nicer hotels will be expensive.
