Scottsdale - Marriott or Hyatt?
 

We're planning a 5 day trip to Scottsdale (first time) for our anniversary. We want it to be special. Luxurious, beautiful, amazing resort is called for here. The Phoenician is sold out, the Marriott Camelback and the Hyatt at Gainer's are both available. Would one outdo the other?

Judy, I have heard wonderful thinks about the Hyatt at Gainey Ranch...They have several attached pools and you can take a gondola ride at sunset through them...Very romantic...Don't forget it's already over 100o F every day and will stay that way until Oct...Enjoy

Judi, Air Canada has just (Monday May 5) opened a non-stop route from Toronto to Phoenix for $305...Maybe this will save you some money for spending in the Valley of the Sun...If I can answer any questions for you please e-mail me directly...Enjoy

Hyatt Gainey Ranch is spectacular!Restaurants are excellent,pools great, near everything in Scottsdale -location is Scottsdale. Marriott Camelback is in Paradise Valley - older resort, but lovely.

I live in the Phoenix area and would definitely recomend the Hyatt as your choice. Good restaurants and beautiful place.

I also wanted to spend my 33rd wedding anniversary at the Phenician last January but it was sold out through Sheratons central reservation system...no luck.

I then called the Hotel directly explained it was our 33rd and there was no where else I wanted to be but at the Phenician....not only did they give us a reservation, but when we arrived we were upgraded to the Canyon Suites which included liv.rm.,dining room,patio etc. as well as a bottle of champagne! It was wonderful.

If those are your two choices, then definitey do the Hyatt at Gainey Ranch - it's fabulous! Good restaurants and the pools go on forever.

Mary, I am intrigued by the message to Judi about a fare from Toronto to Phoenix on Air Canada for $305.00. Can you tell me how to get this rate as we are going to Phoenix Nov 8-22/97? Thank you very much for your help.
