Scottsdale in March
Visiting Scottsdale for the first time short business meeting for 3 days - what are must does and best places to eat - casual, price not important.

|
If you're any kind of a baseball fan, check out the Pink Pony Steakhouse on Scottsdale Road.

There is the usual Morton's and Ruth Chris, or you can check out some of the new restaurants at the Marriott at Desert Ridge.

Go to Cowboy Ciao's in old Scottsdale. Yummy!

Ghauser,
March is considered the best month out of the year (weatherwise) in Phoenix/Scottsdale. Expect crowds due to baseball's Spring Training this month.
Can recommend 2 restaurants in the north Scottsdale area:
1) "Barcelona" and "Zinc Bistro." The latter is located in the newest upscale shopping center..Kierland Commons on Scottsdale Rd.
2)For one of the nicest views in the valley high atop a butte ( although this restaurant is located in Tempe) at the hotel "Buttes, Wyndham Resort") is the "Top of the Rock." Fabulous view of the city.
Enjoy your stay.
Francie

If one night you want something casual, try Thaifoon, if you like Thai, the food is great (on Scottsdale Rd. near Gainey Ranch.) I also liked Cowboy Ciao in old Scottsdale (kind of a weird atmosphere, but the food was fabulous). For more upscale restaurants, try T.Cooks at the Palms Resort on Camelback (just west of the Phoenician.) It sits separate from the hotel and has wonderful ambience (a tree grows through the roof in the middle of the restaurant) and it was voted #1 by locals last year I believe. For chef's and wine tasting menus try Michael's at the Citadel, it was great. Bon Appetit!

Michaels at the Citadel (Pinnacle Peak area) is one fine restaurant. I, too, would highly recommend it. Besides dinner, rest. is open for breakfast and lunch. FYI: Michael De Maria also is in partnership with Zinc Bistro restaurant (Kierland Commons.)
