The Bistro had some of the best crabcakes I've had in a long time and I'm from the Chesapeake Bay region. There were other seafood items as well.

I'll have to check it out when we visit in March! There's also some awesome places over the bridge on the WA coast to dine! ***kim*** :)

I just recently returned from a stay at the Stephanie Inn on Cannon Beach. Everything about this place was wonderful - rooms, views, wine tasting, dinner, breakfast, cookie jar, dvd selection. This was a nice change from my usual choices (W Hotels, Kimpton, Ian Schrager)and I highly recommend.

I have stayed at Schooners Cove - although it was several years ago -
it was fine- not luxury- but would certainly recommend it - Believe they even had grills so you could cook your own just in case you dont want to endulge in all those gourmet places to dine that have been recommended- |
Glad you enjoyed the Stephanie Inn! Did you have a chance to visit Ecola State Park while in CB? We'll be in the area soon and we are bringing someone who has scuba dived all over the world, but he has yet to see Oregon. It will be great fun to show him around for a few weeks! ***kim*** ((*))

Yep, we did have a chance to visit Ecola State Park - quite stunning.

What an amzing coincidence ***kim*** We'll also be in the area soon and we are bringing someone who has read newspapers all over the world, but he has yet to see Oregon. Yes, it will be great fun to show him around for a few weeks!

je,
I will happily second your recommendation for Bistro. I think it is a lovey resaurant. |
Lovely, that is.

je and pandaschu were right on with Bistro. We loved this place. Finally, a great place to dine in CB. We started with the crab cakes over mixed greens and lemon sake butter sauce, followed by the Greek lemon soup which was flavorful and great, then the blue cheese, pear and walnut salad with port vinaigrette. The pears were chilled and this was a great salad. Then the baked wild salmon special with herb and lemon butter. Fantastic, great service, a glass of local Pinot Noir was wonderful with the meal.
Dessert was the chocolate ganache, hazelnut crust cake drizzled with caramel sauce. A great meal and the ambiance is very cozy and romantic. Don't miss this one for a great dinner in Cannon Beach. ***kim*** ((f)) |
mjz, don't miss the Stephanie Inn if you are looking for a fine, elegant dining experience in Cannon Beach. We had a lovely time here. The four course meal was $44/pp and there is only a $10 corkage fee. We enjoyed a bottle of the Broadley Pinot Noir with our dinner. We will definitely return here again and again. ((y)) to the Stephanie Inn. ***kim*** ((*))

We are moving to Portland in a little over a month, we will be going out to the beaches quite a lot. It is good to hear a review from someone who has been to the Stephanie Inn, since I hear about it so much. ((F)) Scarlett |

depends on the motivation for posting, which in some cases seems more to impress than inform........ |
