Scenic drive?

I've visited New Orleans several times and , while I've always enjoyed the city, have seldom ventured outside. This year I'm considering getting a car for a day and wondered if there were any scenic drives that would be enjoyable in So Louisiana. Appreciate any tips
Thanks
Larry

You would probably get responses to this if you include either Louisiana or New Orleans in the title. I would think there are probably plantations and bayous not that far from New Orleans.

I found the drive to Biloxi, MS from NO to be interesting. It winds along the gulf coast in and out of small towns. That would be route 90...Not I-10. If I recall...Biloxi is about 90 minutes one way.

I guess it depends on what you like. Since I'm a Midwesterner, I find driving along the coasts interesting, the bayous and swamps not so interesting.

Try the Great River Road, which winds toward Natchez, MS. You can tour a number of beautiful plantations along the way.

I loved the River Road area between New Orleans and Baton Rouge, I believe. This is the area where the beautiful plantations are located and some of them are open. If you did not want to rent a car, there are day tours offered from New Orleans. Biloxi is also a fun place for the day and you might rent a car for that trip. There are a good many hotels and casinos, also Beauvoir, a beautiful old home open for tours is located there.
