Scallop, I think is the winner!!!!!
what is it with the pronunciation scawwlop????

What do you say? Skaalop...like scatter? I say scollop...like trollop!
Interestingly, there are 2 spellings: scollop and scallop. I spell it scollop. You probably spell it "scallop"!

Interestingly, there are 2 spellings: scolop and scallopp. I spell it scoollopp. You probably spell it "scollopp"!

I say scaalop! not scollop!
And I live on Cape cod! (although a transplant from NY) so we never said it like the codders......is that "codders" or cawwders!"lol

In Maine a couple of years back, I had a waitress almost laugh her head off when I asked for Scaalops. She not too gently corrected the pronunciation to scahlops.
