Savannah BB with a child?

HI! I will be going to Savannah in August with my 7 yr old daughter. We would like to stay at a BB in the Historic District that is nice, friendly, not stuffy, in a quiet and safe part of town, but also easily walkable to the major sights. Currently, I am debating between Hamilton Turner Inn, Amethyst Inn, Joan's on Jones, and the Bed and Breakfast Inn of Savannah. (I need to stay below 200/night) Any suggestions on these or others would be appreciated. Thanks.

Most B&Bs don't allow kids. Historic inns usually work best. Have you check the policy at each of these locations?

Yes..all of them do accept children. That is one of the reasons we narrowed down to these, because many don't accept children. She a very quiet, well mannered child who loves history, so she is really looking forward to this trip.

Well, based on location only, I would pick 3 out of the 4. The Amethyst Inn is further away. I'd probably pick the Hamilton Turner or Joan's on Jones just based on location.

Check tripadvisor.com for reviews if you don't get personal recommendations here.

I hope you will take her to the Juliette Gordon Low House (founder of Girl Scouts). a seven-year-old history lover will enjoy seeing how a young girl lived in Savannah (whether or not she's a Brownie Girl Scout!).

Of those, I'd go for the Hamilton Turner for the Afternoon Tea! The inn has a fascinating history as well.

Hi!
I am starting to finalize my plans for my trip to Savannah next month.

Can anyone recommend a particular part of the historic area I should stay in? Any suggestions for a BB that accepts children, that is convenient to attractions/restaurants, is in a safe part and under $200 would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks. I look forward to your replies.
