Looking to stay in the historic district in a B&B. I've narrowed it down to Forsyth Park Inn, Magnolia Place Inn, Azalea Inn and the Ballestone. Any comments on these would be appreciated. Thanks.

It's been a number of years, but the Ballastone Inn remains very high in my memory. When we returned late to turn in and found the glass of brandy and a praline next to each bed, I loved it. And then they brought beautiful breakfast to the room to serve in front of the fireplace while we sat in two huge upholstered chairs.

Magnificently decorated room.
Hi, I will second the Ballastone. Stayed their a few years ago and it was fantastic. Their "cocktail hour" was more like dinner! Beautiful place, will be going back in a few weeks. Would not think of staying anywhere else.
Enjoy!

Another vote for the Ballastone. We lived in the historic district so never stayed at any, but I prefer its location over the others, certainly, and while we were in Savannah, it had the best reputation by far of the group you've named. 'Course times change, but I would hope they've maintained what they had.

Sounds like its Ballestone - Just in case you want another fly in the ointment, The Folly Inn was very, very good. We got a pretty good deal at the time - 3 nights for $384. Nice place.

Check out the cemetary when you are in Savannah. We had a great meal at Elizabeth's on 37th last year. This year? Who knows. We went in January and it was a bit chilly but still very nice. Enjoy.
