Saratoga Springs vs Old Key West
Going to stay at Disney for a night, for my daughters birthday. Can anyone share their experiences with either of these places, with say a 20m and 4yr old? Is one more kid friendly then the other?
Also, can you see any fireworks from either hotel? Thanks! |
We stayed at Saratoga Spring for four nights in April with our children (8 & 9). The property was lovely and having a suite with a kitchen was terrific. Can't help with your fireworks question.

Have only been to Saratoga Springs and my son was six or seven at the time and loved it. The main pool had a great water slide and a little playground next to it and had smaller pools by the rooms that were small and quiet for at night after the parks. I am thinking its more off of the main area of Disney, so it would be difficult to see any fireworks from it.

We have stayed at several of the Disney timeshare resorts and our personal favorite (of your two) is Old Key West. I am not sure, however, that you'll see much in the way of fireworks from either place. We did stay at Boardwalk Villas a few months ago and from the bridge going over to Epcot were able to see fireworks there.
If you haven't yet booked you might check into Boardwalk. |
Thanks for the responses. We are booked at Saratoga. Both these places have a good Florida Resident rates right now, cheaper then the moderate resorts, for my time frame.

Both are beautiful. I have photo walks around both resorts here: http://www.mousesteps.com/index.php?...&Itemid=53
My preference would be Old Key West, especially for the 1 bedroom and larger units (they are more spacious). But SS has a GREAT spa and workout center. |
Nbodyhome, thanks for the picture link. From what I gather, both resorts are a 30minute walk or so to Downtown Disney. Am I correct? All the walking pathes looked really nice and dare I say serene. I think renting the surrey bikes would be fun!
