I will be visiting Longboat Key and Sarasota soon. I haven't been in a while. Any great new restaurants?

I don't know about Longboat (i think the name of the only place iI have been is The Beach House and Euphemia Hayes) but many great restaurants in Sarasota. Check out Mattison's on Main street across from famous Gator Club. Several great restaurants on Main street and surrounding area. Almost all places in Sarasota and the barrier islands have live bands.I always stay on Siesta Key and recommend Ophelias, The Cottage, Blasé cafe and for laid back fun Daquari Deck, Gilligans, Salty Dog, The Hub and Capt. Curt's. Also at St Armands Circle lots of great restaurants and great shopping. Good fried seafood if that's what you are into at Phillipi Creek on Tamiami Trail. Hope this helps!! Have fun!

If I'm not too late - Harry's,Lazy Lobster, and Pattigeorge are all really good on Longboat. Cafe Baci is great in Sarasota as is Michaels on East. Hope this helps
