Sarasota internet?
 

Could anyone tell me the best place, & nearest , to Siesta Key to log into the internet. My husband has his own business & needs to check his email at least once on holiday.

If he has a laptop with wireless capability, the Starbucks on 41 offers T-Mobile connction.

I can't think of any place on Siesta Key that offers internet access, although I'm sure the hotels have a phone line :-), so he could always do the dial-up with his laptop. There's also Barns and Noble just off the north bridge on 41, but I'm not sure if they have anything.
I can't think of a anyplace that actually has internet stations in Sarasota, although it does not mean anything. I just don't have any need for an internet cafe while at home so I never looked into it. Public Library downtown Sarasota offers free internet.

If your husband is carrying a laptop he can download a local (Sarasota) telephone number and log into the internet thru that path using the telephone in your rental unit. I have to do this whenever I'm travelling.

If you don't have a nationwide internet service company you might be wise to download a free service for the time period that you're in Siesta Key. Netzero allows free service of up to 8 hours a month and it's handy to have in case your server goes down and you can download it now before you head off and make certain it's working well.

As Frequent Flyer says the public library offers free internet useage so you can check their locations - I'm sure there's one on Siesta.

One other alternative I've used was Mailboxes Etc. I'm not certain that's the correct name but there are a number of similar places around that mail packages for you, accept mail for you, fax information, and some offer internet useage. Oh, just remembered another - Kinko's offers internet service - so you should be able to pick one of these up - I think Kinko's is in South Sarasota.

There is no public library on Siesta Key.

Thank you all for your helpful suggestions &amp; have passed them on to hubby to ponder. we know there isn't a library on siesta key, but were thinking of sarasota, he doesn't fancy having to tote his laptop on holiday!!

Sorry AAFF - I just assumed there'd be a library as there's one on Longboat Key.

I'm sure some internet cafes will turn up around Sarasota.
