Sarasota Beach
About 32 years ago I visited my uncle who was then living in Sarasota. He took us to a totally undeveloped beach, a beautiful beach, which he referred to as the "town beach". I have looked at the map AAA provided, but can not identify this "town beach". Can anyone give me information on its location? Would very much like to see how it has changed (I'm sure it has changed over the years) and remember past times.
Thanks for any help.

The beach you remember from 32 years ago is probably (quite definitely) covered with high rise condos now. Don't destroy your great memories by trying to find it now.

Maybe it was Siesta Beach (or Crescent Beach) on Siesta Key. My in-laws wintered there for several years. It is all built up, but the public beach is still one of the loveliest in the US. The sand is like powdered sugar. No lie.

I agree with Diane; it's a lovely beach, and you should go back, especially early in the morning or at sunset.

Perhaps the beach you are thinking of is Casey key. It's very close to Siesta key beach and as I recall there were very few people on that beach.

Good luck and enjoy!
