Santa Monica Promenade..locals
 

Ok, this is a tough one! We went to Santa Monica this last weekend, had a wonderful time!! We went mostly just for the kids to spend 2 days at the beach. Well, on Sat. night we walked around and stumbled upon the Promenade (we never knew it was there or never heard about it), again we thought it was wonderful. My DH really enjoyed the musicians playing, we bought a CD from one guy playing his guitar, he was very good, good CD we listened to it on the way home. My question for any locals that may know is there were 2 Asian guys singing/playing, and 1 of them (the lead singer) was also playing the cello. They were fantastic!! My DH said he wished they had a CD because he would have bought it also...well, they did, I saw it but I guess he didn't. Anyway, they also had a website on their little table. I thought I would try to surprise him and order it....anyone know the name of these guys???

Hmmmmm.... Two Asian guys, one with a cello. I'm a block off the Promenade right now, and I'll try to look for them at my lunch hour (of course, this assumes that they work the Promenade on afternoons).

Well, I checked during my lunch hour-- and they were not playing. They sound more like a nighttime act.

I'm afraid I don't hang out on the Promenade at night, since I don't live in Santa Monica, just work here. But I think there are a couple of Santa Monica residents here on the Forum....

That must be them. In fact, I think I <i>have</i> seen them once or twice on the Promenade during the day (after 18 years schlepping the Promenade, I've learned to shut out the performers).

Milemarker~that is them!!!!!! I just briefly went to the link you provided and I saw they sell tank tops, now I remember they were also selling tank tops that night! Ok, for sure I did not think anyone would be able to help, thank you so VERY MUCH!!!!!
