In which case, the only hotel in Santa Monica that possibly has the "feel" of the Penn is Casa del Mar.

But there is categorically no "similar quality as the Penn" on the beach. Which comes back to my apples vs oranges post which is therefore I suppose not as irrelevant as you would suggest.
