Santa Fe Walking Tours

I'm looking at Santa Fe historic walking tours and finding quite a few more than I'd anticipated. Any experience here with a specific tour/operator? Also, has anyone taken the Chocolate Walking Tour from the La Fonda Hotel? I'm considering doing it as well as a historic walking tour, but wondering if it might be repetitive?

Wow, 233 views and no responses! No first hand experience here with historic walking tours in Santa Fe?

No personal recommendations or advice (just like I replied on your Crested Butte thread!), but check out this from TDudette, "Mr. Gallegos was a wonderful guide".

I've never done one, sorry.

We stayed at La Fonda and took their free tour of the property. It's full of Santa Fe history, with tons of art to appreciate.
I highly recommend you contact the hotel for tour times. Open to the public.

Also, if you ask at La Fonda, they can probably recommend a more comprehensive historical tour of the town.

Thanks to Nelson. I took Clarice tram tour of Santa Fe in April 2018. It cost $20. Tom Gallegos took me to the Abiquiu area. He does a/the? Friday tour from La Fonda (or did when I was there). He is wonderful.

For those who took the walking tour, did you go to Canyon Road?

Melnq8, Clarice's tour started just across from the corner of the main square--look for downtown transit center on map. There were also free shuttles on the square's corner--one went all the way to Museum Hill and the other to the Railroad area.

FWIW, here is my TR:

Hope you will write one also and add to everyone's knowledge of this very interesting area. Have a super time.

Mel,
I haven't been on here in several months. Maybe we can get together!

The NM History Museum does a historical walking tour at 10:15 every morning for $15.
Infortunately, the docent scheduled didn't show up the morning we wanted to take the tour.

All times are GMT -8. The time now is 04:36 AM.
