Santa Fe w/kids

We will be traveling to santa fe in mid June with our very well behaved daughters ages 8 and 13. Can anyone give us some ideas of what sights or activities they might enjoy? Also need some kid friendly restaurants. We are staying at Hotel Santa Fe, any feedback would be helpful!

Definitely go to the International Folk Art Museum--a delight for young and old. Also, they would probably enjoy visiting Taos Pueblo and/or another pueblo.

2 casual places that would be great for kids are.

Blue Corn Cafe...on 2nd floor across from Coyote Cafe...fajitas ate excellent..and go for the chips and salsa.

Il Vicino... (321 San Francisco St..next to the Hilton) a small place serving wonderful wood fired pizza..you order at the counter and the food is brought out to your table..outside dining..and lunch specials..we go there every year

986-8700

See if there's a rodeo when you are there. Take them to the Flea Market northwest of Sante Fe (weekends only), off to the left just past the Opera cutoff. Maybe the Pueblo Center in Albuquerque for Indian dancing (70 mph highways make it fast to get between cities). Kit Carson's home in Taos (same area if you decide to do Taos Pueblo).

We went when our child was 10. Raft trip was the absolute highlight--its about 45 min north of SF & is not dangerous just thrilling; folk art museum is nice;
theres a restoration that i didnt get to that sounds great called Gloriosos or something, near the race track I recall; we stayed at the bishops lodge which was amazing & took an early trail ride (nonriders all). I dont know if they offer it to non guests but you should look for something comparable. Do dine at Bishops Lodge & take a hike on their grounds--they have trails there & the kids will love the mt flowers; they wont stop you.
