Geronimo is definitely back on track and worthy of a visit.
Bistro 315 is a favorite for dinner and a great spot for patio dining weather permitting. Double D is a fun resale shop and as mentioned has used boots for good prices. If you want to splurge Back at the Ranch on Marcy and Otero has handmade, beautiful boots. Fun to look at even if you won't be buying. You'll have a nice spa at La Posada so you may want to take advantage of it's convenience. Ten Thousand Waves Spa is on the list of "to-do's" while were in Santa Fe because we love the peaceful, Japanese setting. The hot tubs are outside and face the mountain - all with privacy walls and fences. The hot stone massage is the best I've had anywhere and is a great way to end the day. |
Santa Fe is a wine town and everyone offers wine by the glass. 315 Restaurant and O'Keeffe Cafe both offer outstanding wines by the glass.
Hiking is definitely a few hour commitment. If you want a great walk, try the Randall Davey Audubon Center at the top of Upper Canyon Rd. If you want to go out with a guide- check out Outspire Hiking or Santa Fe Walkabouts. |
I don't know if you would want to venture that far, but if you are huge O'Keeffe fans one incredible place to visit is her home in Abiquiu. They offer guided small group tours and it's very informative and imo intimate. We've done it twice (but we like to stay in Abiquiu) and each time it was different.
