I meant to add if you are up at Museum Hill their cafe is actually good. We've had very nice casual lunches there, good wine and desserts, too.

Also, you might look at Rancho de Chimayo for a dining spot along the way coming or going from Taos. It's a charming restaurant along the low road.

Another advantage of LaBoca? Across the street - at least last time we were there - from very tasty Frozen Yogurt.

Shed and Chosa owned by the same people. We prefer the less frenetic atmosphere of Chosa.

Breakfast options: Tecolate and/or The Pantry on Cerrillos. Also Cafe Guadeloupe opposite the State Buildings off of Paseo.

We second the Museum Hill Cafe although it has recently changed management, we believe. Other than that, lots of good options.

In Taos, The Alley is fun. If the Embudo is open on the river road, it's a nice place and the brisket is (was) memorable.

Tecalote Cafe closed on Easter -- landlord dispute. Guadeloupe Cafe closed and it's now Jalapeño. The lady that owned Guadalupe Cafe now has The Pink Adobe and serves her menu during the day and the old Pink Adobe menu at night.
