Santa barbara hotel help needed.
Hi I'm after a place to stay in Santa Barbara for 3 nights, first week in september (4th, 5th & 6th)
Would prefer a place on the beach but with our budget is it possible? Is the town just as good? Budget $180 per night max. Cheers, Allan |
Hi Allan,
Try this website: http://www.santabarbara.com/category...itor&cid=9 Hotels and special deals listed by area. Good luck. minnie. |

Hi Allen,
Well, I would recommend the beach area. It is really beautiful. Lots and lots of hotels in the area, you should be able to find one to meet your budget. Second choice would be Downtown SB area. Carpenteria is south of Santa Barbara, and not much of interest there. Goleta is north of SB, rather residential, not much in the way of tourist-y stuff. Although there is a nice University there. Montecito, scenic, but very expensive area. Although certainly worth a drive just to see the homes and surroundings if you happen to have a car. minnie. |
Thanks for your help dudes. Just this minute booked "The Marina Beach"
From what I can tell on TripAdviser its a lovely but simple motel right on the pier. Its got some great reviews so fingers crossed. Only Monterery and a San Fran Airport hotel to book and are 3 week tour of your amazing country is sorted. Al. |
You will love Santa Barbara. We stayed at the Harbor View Inn, right acorss from Stearn's Wharf. We had a great time! :)
I'll second minnie's suggestion for Montecito. We had lunch at The Patio @ the Biltmore,it was wonderful. We were able to view dolphins frolicking in the water from our table which was a real treat. Have a great trip! ***kim*** ((#)) |
See Santa Barbara debrief. We thought the Harbor View Inn was very good.
