Santa Barbara CA Motel 6

Has anyone ever experienced the Motel 6 in Santa Barbara? Are the rooms OK??? Is it a good location?? The price is right

Stayed there 3 yrs ago(the one on the main drag about a 2 miles from the shopping area). It was very nice for a 6.

I think you are talking about the one on HWY 1/101 just a few miles South of SB. It looks like a good one (I pass it frequently) and it is very convenient to SB (just a few exits away)- lets put it this way- just about anything in the SB area is pretty high quality.

There are several in the area. The Santa Barbara beach location is nice, but usually sold out. Most of the other's in the area are older and worn...the State Street location is on upper state street in kind of a motel-row area with fast food joints and traffic.

The best location in the area for families is about 10 miles south of Santa Barbara in Carpinteria. It is about a 4 block walk to the beach and close to fast food & market. "Carpinteria South" is the listing, do not choose "Carpinteria North"
