Sanibel Inn, Sundial Resort, or Holiday Inn

I am looking into a vacation on Sanibel the beginning of May and can get a good vacation package rate at the following on Sanibel:

Sanibel Inn
Sundial Resort
Holiday Inn

The price I can get for Sanibel Inn and Sundial is similar. The Holiday Inn is a bit less. I've narrowed down to these three based on the best package deals I've found, so I'm looking for recommendations, pros & cons, etc. It will be just my husband and I (mid 40s); looking to chill out and relax on a nice beach. Thanks.

We go to Sanibel every year, though I've never stayed at any of these places. They are all in good locations, Sundial Resort probably has more amenities, but you need to be careful as each unit is individually owned and they aren't all comparable. You probably would be fine at any of these properties.

Have stayed at the SUndial on two occasions. THe first time, stayed in a regular studio room and the 2nd time stayed in a condo which was super. The SUndial is very mellow and quiet. Great location -just down from the Holiday Inn. Havn't stayed at the Hol. Inn, but ate there at Captian Morgan's Rainforest. Good atmosphere. THey essentially should have the same beach becasue they are so close to each other.

I stayed at the Sanibel Inn a couple of years ago- I wasn't raving about it at the time, but it was nice. I especially enjoyed the gardens... lots of butterflies to photograph. I would recommend it. Have a great trip!

We stayed at Sundial a couple of summers ago. We had a huge two br, oceanfront condo that was great. Since it was the offseason, the island was very quiet. The only complaint we had was terrible service in the Sundail restaurant - can't remember the name - but that may have just been due to it being offseason.
