Sanfrancisco to Seattle

Hi we are a family of four (two teenagers) arriving into San Francisco in mid-September and wanting to drive the coast from San Francisco to Seattle, unfortunately we only have two and half days and were looking at driving to Willits and staying the first night, then Florence Oregon and then arrive Seattle late the second afternoon, we want to stick to the 101 as much as possible after reading most of your reviews. Any hints or suggestions would be most welcome, as well as clean affordable accomodation at Willits, Florence and Seattle? Thanks Sonia

Sounds like fun! What do you mean by "affordable"? If you don't mind "roughing it", check out KOA's cabins.

We always (well, three times) stay at the Best Western in Willits. Nice people, and there is a Perko's restaurant across the street.

Your best bet in Florence might be the Holiday Inn Express. Some travelers like the River House Motel, but I can't vouch for it. Mo's is an Oregon Coast standby for clam chowder, etc.

mooselywild, Bobmrg, and happytrailstoyou. Thank you very much for your prompt responses, when I said affordable, I meant under $200 I guess, except in Seattle where I know we will have to pay more to be in the downtown area which is fine. I have checked out both of your accomodation selections for Willits and Florence and will stay at them, so thanks a lot for that. I was wondering if you would all agree that this drive would be a nice end to a trip to Yellowstone, Banff, Vancouver Island then back down the coast to Seattle and San Francisco, I guess a nice relaxing scenic end to our trip is what I am saying? Thanks Sonia

I'm confused about the routing. How do Yellowstone, Banff, and Vancouver fit into driving from SF to Seattle?
