SanFran for a Giants game in June

I'm planning a surprise trip to San Francisco/Yosemite for my husband's 30th birthday, and I'd like to include a game at SBC Park. (The Giants are scheduled to play the Diamondbacks on 6/22). A couple questions...

1 - Any idea when these tickets go on sale? I didn't find anything on the web site. How hard is it to get 2 tickets?

2 - What are the best seats for views of the game and "scenery"? I think I read somewhere that the bleacher seats are actually pretty good. (?)

3 - What cheap-to-moderately priced hotels can you recommend in the vicinity? We'll probably only actually be in San Francisco the day of the game and that night, and then we'll leave early to drive to Yosemite. In Priceline, would the Union Square East - Embarcadero area be the best location?

4 - We land at 10:36 am and the game isn't until 7:15. I know we won't see nearly enough of the area in that amount of time (we have another trip scheduled for a conference next year), but what are the highlights that we shouldn't miss in a day?

Thanks!

Last year we went to a game and our seats were upper deck, above the first base line. We were way up at the top. We had a good view of the game and an absolutely terrific view of the bay.

I would do Priceline Union Square East for a hotel. There is a MUNI lightrail line that goes down Market St, which bisects downtown and goes to the baseball park. I think it's the N line.

Look for single game ticket sales
On the Giants website in late Jan
-early Feb. You won't have your pick of every seat in SBC, yet you'll find a good selection. The bleacher seats?
Scenery? Don't think so...Without spending a fortune,we like the View Reserved boxes-Section 302 offers a great view of McCovey Cove and the Bay Bridge.
Lower boxes 127-131 and 135 are
loads of fun and fans. It will most likely be quite cold-I typically take
a backpack with sweatshirt,jacket,
gloves and hat.
For your pre-game exploring, I'd find
a way to get out on the Bay. Perhaps
a waterfront cruise or ferry over to
Sausalito and back.
Have Fun!

Can not emphasize enough - bring warm clothes. We were at a day game in July and needed sweaters, sweatshirts, etc.

We had seats in the upper deck down the right field line. Good view of the field, great view of the bay!

I don't think you will have any problem with Giants tickets (Red Sox is another story!)

The only way you won't have a
problem with Giant tickets is if
you buy them EARLY-they sell out
every game!
