Sanctuary on Camelback Mtn - dress code?
 

my husband and i are planning a 3 night trip there Sept 8 -11 of this year. he's never been SW or to a resort spa so it will be a true experience by all. This resort peaked my interest immediately and I have heard great things about it. But, on spafinder, it said something about a dress code - "our dress code is as elegant as our resort". we're no bums but the fact that it was mentioned makes me wonder. what kind of attire should we bring to ensure we're on board with everyone else? Anyone been, any clarification or insight would be great.

Why not just call the spa and ask?
I have been to Elements at the Santuary for drinks and most people were dressed for an evening out, men in nice slacks and shirts and women in dresses and nice pant/capri ensembles the kind of dress usually described as dressy casual.

My husband and I spent 2 nights at Sanctuary last summer when it was fairly new. Dress during the day is nice casual. If you dine at their signature restaurant, "Elements", the dress is business casual (dress shirts/pants for men and nice pants/top for women. Some men had sport coats. Be sure to get a table on the balcony as the evening view is spectacular. The food was pretty good as well.

As an aside, the design of Sanctuary is extremely minimalist which I guess appeals to some, but we did not care for it. The rooms are quite spartan, almost prison like, and yet this is supposed to be a "luxury" resort. We did not feel particularly luxurious there. The spa is supposed to be good, but we did not take advantage of it.

I live in phx and go to the resort often for drinks or breakfast. remember one thing about arizona, you can where blue jeans EVERYWHERE!!! trust me, this is a very casual town, DO NOT BRING A SUIT!!! bathing suit yes. A very good friend of mine runs the restaurant, her name is Pat Jasmine, ask for her. This is a very nice place, very comfy and casual with lot's of european five star touches. You simply cannot go wrong. enjoy.
