San Jose - overnight parking - Marriott on Priceline

Just got the San Jose Marriott on Priceline - great rate but assume the overnight parking rate at the hotel will be ridiculous - can't even find the rate on their website. Any suggestions for cheaper overnight lots in the area. Thanks!

the hotel website clearly states valet parking is $25 . . .

"Parking:
• Valet parking, fee: 25 USD daily
• Off-site parking; contact hotel for details"

Here's the parking map for downtown San Jose:

You'll be on the corner of Market and San Carlos. Click on any of the colored blocks to check out a particular parking lot.

We have parked frequently in the open air lot katty corner from the Marriott at 2nd and San Carlos (on the right of the oval). We have also parked inside the Convention Center parking lot (the large blue rectangle next to the "82"). Both of these lots seem to charge $18 for a full day, but the Convention Center parking would work better for you, much safer.

There is also street parking, but I don't know what the metered rates and suggest you not park on the street for overnight purposes. The city of San Jose has been in a budget crisis for awhile and tickets are a good source of revenue :)

The long term airport parking lot at the airport is $15 per day. Busses come by frequently to take you to your terminal. Just follow the signs to long term parking. Short term is $30 per day.

Beware: SJC is under construction. We live here and use the airport. I still get confused as the layout changes on each trip. It will be nice when complete, but we have a few more years to go. Plan your timing accordingly.

traveldawg, I'm confused - are you suggesting they park at the airport when staying at the Marriott? There is much closer parking, for about the same price.
