san Jose airport
We have a 3 hour layover and I was wondering what are my food options???
Which Airline/ terminal? They are separated from each other.
We are flying in on American from Austin and then flying Alaska Airlines to Seattle....
Here's the URL: http://www.sjc.org/inside.html
Click on "Inside the Airport" on the left-hand side of the screen then on the little knife and fork icon. Note that American is in Terminal A and Alaska is in Terminal C. Shuttle bus runs between the two. |
Thanks for the info!!

What time of day? If your luggage is checked, you could zip downtown for something to eat. The airport has the typical stuff and it's not thrilling.
I think it would be too harried and streesful to leave the airport with only 3 hours. There are a number of choices---California Pizza Kitchen and Gordon Biersch have decent food. For lunch, Starbucks has salads and sandwiches. Terminal A can get pretty crowded with all the people lining up for Southwest flights, so I suggest you hop over to Terminal C and find something there.

We arrive at 6:30pm on Saturday night. We just plan on hanging out at the airport. We waited too long to book a trip with our AA miles...we are happy just to use them from Austin to Seattle
There's a Doubletree about a half mile from the airport. Believe they have a shuttle.
There are better dining facilities there and the atmosphere is a lot better than at the airport. Check out this hotel. It's on Gateway. Otherwise, just stay at the airport. There's not much at terminal C, even less at Terminal A. Just came in last night at SJC and made a mad dash for the exit. LOL! |
California Pizza Kitchen is what I would choose.
Nora and Trippin - LOL! You and I will definitely not dine together. Gordon Biersch is a reasonable spot but not the pizza place... manohman SJC is BORING. It's an easy drive by cab to get outta there for a break.
