>>. Just one thing I have 2 posts I need info going to SF in May, I need to know some decent but affordable hotels in SF<<

I'm the last person to ask about hotels. I live here, so I don't stay in hotels here.

>also is it worth it to go to Hearst Caslte<<

Sure - it's a major destination in Calif.

Thank you, foryour advice. I just thought perhaps you knew of hotels in town that were decent but I do understand.
We are going to wine country too both Sonoma and Napa and love Pinot Noirs, do you know of any good wineries?

What does decent affordable mean to you? Be specific per night, all in.

Ok, From 200 to 250 need to be near cable car or a form of transportation, is it best to be. Ear wharf or in Lombard street area ??

Hey...does anyone know how Centralparkgal is? I opened this thread for a suggestion for a friend going to SF this weekend saw her name...I have often wondered how she is...

Try http://www.themosser.com/

Good location and the rates may work for you. They have some queen size rooms with shared/hall bath which are pretty reasonably priced. The bathrooms are kept very clean and are attended to on a regular basis.

"The Shared Bathroom Queen accommodates a custom-designed queen size bed with a vanity sink and mirror. Built in a European style, the bathroom is shared amongst three other rooms and highly maintained. The shared bathroom is only a few steps away from the bedroom."

The location is also very good, close to Market St and all forms of public transit.

Hey Stu-
I'm new to this and started a new forum:
10 Days- California during the holidays.
I'm hoping you can add some of your input. Basically I started hoping to get a reply from you as I've read your detailed assessments.
Thank you!

Not to hijack this incredible thread, but just saw Momdd's comment from March. I'm alive and well and just took a long Fodor's sabbatical :)
Hope you're well too!

Loveitaly, wow! I remember you from when I first became a member some years ago. I haven't been around in a while as I haven't traveled in recent years. Now that I am traveling again, I am reading the forums again. i know how much you love Italy. Going there for a second time this year in November. My favorite place to visit also.

DebitNM Aug 12th, 2016 02:23 PM

Sadly, the wonderful LoveItaly is no longer with us except in spirit.
