San Francisco Orpheum Theatre seating
Can anyone recommend the best seating in the Orpheum for petite people? My mom is 5 foot and seeing of people's heads can be an issue in a theatre.

Well, it's not "stadium seating", so unfortunately, if someone tall is sitting in front of her, it'll be a problem (I'm short, too, and it can be an issue).

Front row of the upper levels, if possible. I hear your pain. I am 5'2 and some how always end up behing the biggest guy or biggest hair.

Here's a link to the seating chart. You can see there are some seats in the orchestra where no one would be sitting in front of you. I just bought tix for Wicked over the weekend and we got the tix for 125 & 128 so one of us will not have anyone sitting in front of us.

Sorry that should have been 126 & 128.

Thank you, Suzie! The links and seat info was helpful.

I was at the Orpheum on Sunday so I looked around as much as I could for you. Though the seating chart looks like there is no one in front of you there really is, it's just kind of off set so you can see perfectly through the heads of the peopole in front of you.
For Wicked do not sit under the balcony as it really looked to us that some of the performance that takes place high on the set might be obstructed. Our seats in row N 126 & 128 were fantastic. I was glad to be in the center orchestra. |
