San Francisco Jeep Tours-What about them?

We are planning to go to SF in a couple of weeks and are thinking about booking a 6 hour jeep tour (3 adults and a guide). It seems that this would be the best way to enjoy the sites vs. driving in SF. We understand the jeep tours can go into all areas and they will also take you across the Bridge into Sausilito, Belvedere and Tiburon. Has anyone got any comments on this type of tour?

Patsy, I have not tried the jeep Tours but can highly recommend the Geyline tours as an economical way for 2 to see the city and surrounding areas. We took the city evening Chinatown tour, the Muir woods tour, and a daytime city tour. The city tour gave us enough orientation to be able to use the public transportation thereafter to get to all of the sights in the city.
We spent two weeks there and had a most enjoyable time with out a car. Be sure to get long term bus/metro passes. They are well worth the money spent and often you may want to take a convenient bus just a few blocks to rest your tired dogs!<G>
