San Francisco jazz club pls
I will be in San Francisco Sept 27-30 (Mon thru Thurs). Can anyone suggest a club, etc that has jazz on these nights? Not so much into contemporary, more bebop, classic greats. I'll be staying in Union Sq. I promise a trip report when I return. Thanks.

soundness-you just miss the sfblues
festival at Fort Mason (it's outside so if it's a decent day it's great-loads of food vendors). Check out the website if you can come in a day early

Two favorite clubs for us:
Rassela's Jazz Club
1534 Fillmore @ Geary
www.rasselasjazzclub.com
This is a great club. When I lived in the city, they were only a few blocks away on Calif.&Divisidero-now they are in the Fillmore district and just as
fun.
and...
Jazz@Pearl's
256 Columbus (at Broadway-in North Beach)
jazzatpearls.com
This place serves dinner and you get better seats if you eat dinner there.
The food is south african(?) as I recall,
so it's all an adventure!
I save the best for last:
The Saloon (in North Beach on Grant)
This is an orginal Barbery Coast bar
dating to the late 1800's. It was even a brothel. Now, I cannot guarantee
jazz, (check the schedule),but we love to go here on Sundays in the winter.

Expecting a full report.
