Guilio, I was keeping my opinion to myself on this, but you mentioned my favorite. Trattoria Pinnochio. And I agree, eat indoors.

We've had some delightful meals at Cafe Macaroni in North Beach on Columbus.

Love the gnocchi at Scala's.
Enjoy the atmosphere at Fino.

I was searching for something else, and this thread came up where I said I'm going to Uncle Vito's, so here is my comment: a tiny cramped not-looking-clean pizza parlor full of youngsters. First time, the children took us there. Second time, it will be my punishment :))

Don't know why this was topped, but since it was, we love SPQR, too, except for the fact that they don't take reservations, so go early, or go late, but don't go right at typical mealtimes. Their brussels sprouts are to die for.
