San Francisco - Hotwire

I will be visiting San Francisco in October. Hotwire is offering a 5 star hotel in the Downtown - Embarcadero Area for $162 a night. Does anyone have any ideas on what hotel this might be? Also, a 4 1/2 star hotel in the same area is at $103 a night. Any ideas? Thank in advance.

Matt, I'd guess that they are probably the Omni Hotel and Hyatt Regency, respectively, but you should compare the amenities, etc. to be sure. Let us know if you find out!

Matt...
My (limited) experience with Hotwire and Priceline both is that their 5 star hotels are really 4 stars. Not bad, mind you, but we're not talking Four Seasons or Mandarin Oriental here! If it IS the Hyatt Regency Embarcadero (a perfectly nice hotel, but no 5 star) you can get it WITHOUT Hotwire for about $190 a night. Good luck.

Embarc Area may also include the Park Hyatt??? I can't recall if we got it in April thru Hotwire on P'line but it was very nice.

We do seem to be getting the Harbor Court Inn for $82-$90/night thru Hotwire.
It's the "B"=Boutique hotel listed in the Embarc Area.

Thx,
kal

Thank you for your input. If we book thru Hotwire, I'll let you know what we came up with. Take care.
