San Francisco hotel deal!
If you are headed to SF, take advantage of this deal, just posted on Facebook.
The Mosser stay 3 nights and get 20% off entire stay. Now through end of August. The Mosser is a great location, close to Union Sq and has great prices regularly. Some of the rooms share a VERY clean, well maintained bathroom; others have private baths. The rooms are small, but location and price makes it a winner. themosser.com |
It's not what I call inexpensive, by any means.
I pulled up a sample stay, and rates were between $189 and $329 a night. |
I have found rates in the low 100's last time I looked.
OMG I forgot to post the promo code: SUMMER
Random dates: July 23 -27, Queen deluxe [private bath] $151; deluxe full, $135
Shared Queen [meaning, use the hall bath] as low as $111.
I think you should be taking advantage of this deal Deb!!!! :)
LOL, we might. We are heading to Pebble Beach for the Concours and if we sell our motorcycle, we might spend a few celebratory days in SF.
The hotel itself looks cute enough - was renovated a few yers ago - and for a budget type hotel - it gets fairly good reviews - but I question the location - as it's sort of in the middle of a concrete jungle/midrise/highrise area, and would also wonder about traffic noise?
Perhaps these reviews would be helpful: http://www.tripadvisor.ca/ShowUserRe...alifornia.html "Room Tip: Request higher floor rooms to minimize traffic noise in the city. See more room tips" Or this one: http://www.all-sanfrancisco.com/hote...r_reviews.html and not sure how current this review is - but it used to be a tough location years ago: "Several fire engines in the middle of every night-enormously loud sirens-paper thin windows. Seedy shops outside the hotel and beggars outside." |
I have actually stayed at The Mosser. It is directly across the street from the Marriott Marquis and almost next door to the Hotel Palomar; just off Market. It is a great deal at half the cost of the Marquis and 1/3 less than the Palomar.
The windows [double - double panes]do a very good job at keeping out most street noise. But hey, it is in the city, you can't expect to hear only crickets. For those wanting to be IN the heart of the city and it's action, the location is tops. |
Hey Deb, I hope Mr. Deb is not riding his bike from AZ again!! Enjoy Pebble. We are going down to Carmel this month--it will be the first time in many years that we have been in the summer as we enjoy being on the Peninsula and coast much more without crowds.
He is driving out and trailering the bike. He won't ride this one, way to valuable! We are staying 2 nights at Seven Gables and then in a cottage at a vineyard in Carmel Highlands for 4 nights. And I booked the Mosser for after the Concours. Thanks for the thought, SAB!
OK, SAB - you are officially an instigator - I booked The Mosser! Thanks for the [gentle] push! :o)
Welcome back to the City Deb--where are you going to eat this time ? :)
DebitNM - The Marriott Marquis, aka the Jukebox Marriott, was recently named one of the worst Architectural buildings in SF.
It's local sport to make fun of the place. |
I hope they do a promotion for end of October 2012. At the moment I have booked the Coventry Motor Inn but will cancel if something better comes along.
Architectural design on the outside of a building doesn't concern me; a great location, clean room, and a deal is way more important to me. I really like staying at The Mosser.
Thanks, DebitNM. I booked a room on your recco. Dumb me booked a flight to San Fran the weekend of the "oracle" expo so hotel prices are through the roof. Going to be staying in Sonoma County somewhere at the beginning of trip, then heading to city for final couple days before train to airport. Thanks for the tip!
