San Francisco GTG - Dec 2nd or 9th
 

Does anyone have any interest in getting together one of these two Saturdays in December? Lunch time sounds good, an any restaurant suggestions? Let me know if you're interested and which date sounds better. :-)

Ha ha ha ha somebody's feeling sorry for missing past Friday ;)

I am available both weekends, unless something comes up.

When you pick a restaurant, maybe close to a BART station is better? And the Union Square area may be not good as at this time of the year everybody's there shopping!

Hi Faina. Yes, I was a sad Trippster to have missed last week. :-(
I also thought about the shoppers those weekends. Let's see how much response I get, as I think there were others besides me who were interested in that early December time.

I'm not sure if I can swing this, but I'll bookmark anyway as some of my favorite posters are from the SF area.

the 2nd is my B'day -- umm, may just have to treat myself to a shopping day in SF ;)

Actually - I can't make it on the 2nd (giving travel/packing talks on Sat/Sun) but might be able to on the 9th.

So I'm thinking either the 9th or postpone till Jan..

Trippin, on the 9th you may get more people for holiday shopping, in January only locals as everybody will be broke ;)

Post this GTG on each forum - some people, especially on the European forum, have only that forum bookmarked and don't look at any other forums.

I am open 12/9, how about brunch at the Grand Cafe in the Hotel Monaco at 501 Geary? Or chinese lunch in R & G Lounge at 501 Geary? No, I'm not a part-owner.

Okay Shanghainese and Faina. Dec. 9th sounds good for lunch and I've wanted to try R&G. I'll post that on the other boards.

Don't worry, it always happens. Just pick a date, post a new GTG on all forums, and those who can attend, will come.

If I can come it would be the 9th (not the 2nd) and the Grand Cafe sounds...well, grand.

But, don't plan around me. I have a room reserved already, but there are a lot of changes going on right now, so I may have to cancel the trip.
