San Francisco, Fairmont or Monaco?
They're the same price, my husband loves Monacos but the SF Fairmont is an institution and the rooms are much larger.
Which would you pick? |
Tell him Monaco is too close to Tenderloin :)
Fairmont is on a steep hill. |
Faina,
What's the tenderloin, other than the best part of prime rib? |
I disagree that the Monaco is too close to the Tenderloin. I would chose it, based on it's location. The Fairmont is just too far out of the way (and like Faina says, uphill). Nina, the tenderloin is a dodgy area of SF. You wouldn't want to be walking around alone in it at night but I drive through it all the time and it's not as bad as some make out.

Thanks Catbert, I haven't been to SF in a very long time and haven't heard of the Tenderloin. Interesting name, do you know where it came from?
|
From the prime rib :))
Honestly, I have no idea. But the area is unpleasant. |
Monaco...cocktails and light dining in the Mini-Grand Cafe or a nice sit down b'fast/lunch/dinner in the Grand Cafe.
Short walk to everything in the UnSq area. Is that smell from when the tenderloin is left out too long? |
